Official selection of 1996 Cannes Film Festival and Sundance Film Festival, "The Slap" is about a high school date in the 1950's that goes awry when a young man asks his sweetheart for a goodnight kiss, only to discover that she wants something more. Eventually, he gives in to her strange need and loses a part of himself he will never again regain.

AMANDA THOMAS
Actress "Sue"

Amanda's most recent credits include an upcoming pilot entitled IVY LEAGUE, as well as a production of HENRY IV, PART 1, at the California Shakespeare Company, in which she plays Lady Percy. Other theatrical endeavors include, Viola in TWELFTH NIGHT and roles such as Desdemona, Titania, and Juliet with the Arkansas Repertory National Shakespeare tour. Amanda has also appeared in BEACHIN' IT, a made for TV movie on the USA Network, several student films, and is a founder and principal of the Pacific Coast Shakespeare Promenade Troupe.

KENNETH HUGHES
Actor "Charlie"

Kenneth has worked in theater with the Actor's Gang, received Drama-Log awards and an Ovation nomination. He can also be seen in various films including DEATH BECOMES HER, and currently on television, in HBO's TRACY ULLMAN TAKES ON ROMANCE. His diverse career spans from Guess print ads to dancing with Madonna in a Pepsi spot to the lead role in a Bee Gees music video, and he insists he will not rest until he has worked in every possible medium and format.
